What You’ll Find
Castle Archdale Country Park has beautiful woodland and lakeside trails overlooking Lower Lough Erne.
The trails are perfect for a family walk, with lots of space for the kids to explore. You will also find picnic areas, a children’s play park and plenty of reminders of the park’s fascinating wartime history.
Castle Archdale was once an important flying-boat base during the Second World War. The Castle Archdale at War exhibition inside the visitor centre tells the story of the people and aircraft based here.
The marina also offers seasonal activities including boat, kayak, hydrobike and cycle hire. These activities are charged separately and availability can vary.

There are seasonal cafés and food options around Castle Archdale, but opening hours vary throughout the year.
Bring the bikes and explore the family cycling trail through the forest.
The full route is around six miles, but you can easily choose a shorter section if you are visiting with younger children.
